Photos of Oceanic's Lounges, Dining Areas & Our Cabin

Cabin A92

Standard 4 berth outside cabin, A92, Atlantic Deck. Parallel to the hull and access by means of a short hallway. This has a door which can be closed to make A92 & A90 into one. Quite spacious, 2 upper bunks, but the lower beds cannot be made into a Queen [they can in some of Oceanic's other 4 berths]. Could sometimes hear what went on next door, but not bad.

Seven Continents Restaurant

Dining in the Seven Continents Restaurant, Restaurant Deck midship. Food is good, and waiters excellent. Not as wide a choice of food as on some lines, and coffee is taken in one of the lounges afterwards. There is a Tropical Night & an Arabian Night [most passengers dress accordingly], where after dining there is a parade of waiters, dancing [passengers] & on the final night waiter & chef parade with serviette waving/throwing to Olé, Olé, Olé.... gets very LOUD at times. There is no Baked Alaska.

Tropical Night progressed to the Riviera Pools for entertainment. This is also where the Captain's Cocktail Party was held on Gala night. Dress is not very formal, ordinary suits and long dresses were worn, but not by everyone. No tuxes. Basically anything smart goes, no jeans.

Library, Hollywood Theatre [Cinema], Broadway Theatre

The Library is small, but rather nice with a selection of books in English & Spanish [off the Sunrise Terrace, Pool Deck fwd].

Down in the depths on Theatre Deck [2 decks below the lowest passenger cabin deck], is the Hollywood Theatre. A classic 2 storey cinema of the 'old style'. All films were in Spanish [Bridget Jones' Diary II must have been interesting:)], 2 showings a day.

Broadway Theatre, Lounge Deck fwd, is the venue for the twice nightly shows. Magic, Ventriloquist, Music, Ballet & dance, all the normal things. I found the lines of sight a bit awkward unless at the front and no access to the sides when departing early. Views of the foredeck during the day. Drinks are served & smoking permitted on one side.

Gym, Beauty Salon, Shops, Photo Gallery, Video Arcade

Gym, Sun Deck fwd. I rarely saw anyone in here.

Beauty Salon & Massage Room, Continental Deck Midship. A small area, with friendly no 'push sell' staff. Reasonable pricing, Beverley had her hair highlighted.

Shops - A 'Boutique' with clothing, jewellery, perfume, toiletries, nick knacks in one corner of the Lucky Star Casino/Bar Lounge area. A 'Logo Shop' Lounge Deck starboard, and Duty free [Liquor, Cigarettes, Game Boys etc], to port. Drink could be purchased and taken away [with being all-inclusive this makes no difference anyway].

Photo Gallery, Lounge Deck starboard. Embarkation photos Euro 6 [with a photo of Oceanic] & a digital camera card d/l to CD was Euro 8.

Small Video Arcade for the children. E1 a go [except the Air Hockey worked with 50cents:)]

Stairwells

Yup, a whole album devoted to Oceanic's Stairwells. Pity I didn't take photos of them all, but I did love the reliefs & 'sculptures'. Need to research a bit of detail on them, if anyone can help?
