First spotted arriving from the centre of Herm Island at 15:20; Passed her by alongside when returning to St Peter Port on the ferry Trident V, but by the time we emerged from the harbour on Boudicca's tender she had sailed.

Herm Island is 3 miles from the coast of Guernsey, 1 1/2 miles long, 1/2 mile wide & rises to 70m above sea level. We took the Trident Travel, Trident V ferry to & from Herm. A 20 minute trip with great photo ops of any ship at anchor. We walked up the steep hill to Manor Village from the Harbour & visited the C11 St Tuguals Church before walking down to Belvoir Bay on the east coast [lovely beach & café], along the coast to Shell Beach & then back along the easy route to the Harbour where one finds the Island's only Pub, Mermaid Tavern, gift shop, hotel & the World's smallest [& least used] prison. Lovely views & gorgeous beaches.

Transocean Tours' Marco Polo departed St Peter Port, Guernsey as we waited for the Herm Island ferry within the harbour 14.10; 14 June 2008. However we did see her in the distance & sail behind Jethou appearing the other side as we crossed to Herm.
